The Sharm El-Sheikh Arab & European Film Festival is an annual competitive event organized by Noon Foundation for Culture and Arts in Egypt. Its goal is to foster the knowledge and diffusion in Egypt of the Arab and European cinematographic and audiovisual works, to promote cultural exchanges between Egypt, Arab World and Europe.

The 1st Edition of the SHAEFF will be held from 5th to 11th March 2017, for long and short Arab & European fiction/documentary/animation films which has been produced in 2016-2017.

The selected long films will be eligible for The GOLD DJED Pillar for the best film. The SILVER DJED Pillar, the jury’s special award, will be awarded to the director. The BRONZE DJED Pillar will be awarded to the director of the best 1st film.

The selected short films will be eligible for The GOLD DJED Pillar for the best film. The SILVER DJED Pillar, the jury’s special award, will be awarded to the director.

The Egyptian Premiere is required.

The deadline is 20th January 2017.
