What do we do at Science Camp?

  • Explore the museum and visit centre stage for a unique summer camps show!
  • Participate in curated, enquiry-based STEM programming produced in collaboration with our summer camp leaders and science educators.
  • Learn about Climate Science with hands on lab-based experiments and demonstrations.
  • Become climate-conscious-campers! Learn what it means to be a steward of our planet.
  • Play fun and goofy camp games with a science-twist
  • Learn new random facts, wave at an axolotl*, see a real human brain, stand inside a tornado, and many more uniquely Science World Experiences!

*Disclaimer: the axolotl might be too busy being an amphibian to wave back!

Where do camps take place?

All camps take place on site, under the dome at Science World! Our campers will be based out of one of our science labs, in a 'classroom' setting. Campers will take part in group-based activities inside and outside.

Campers should pack a lunch, as lunch is not provided.

We are currently working with some external community organizations to collaborate on opportunities for a local field trip in 2024. More information will be provided when it is available. Trips outside of Science World will never be more than a short walk from the dome and will always take place within the camp day, with the permission of caregivers.

What size are the camp groups?

Camp Groups are made up of 16-18 participants, 2 Camp Leaders, and 1 Jr Leader volunteer.
