Yeovil Town agree sale to American-led investor

A company led by a US-based attorney and sports investor has reached an agreement to acquire Yeovil Town FC.

Yeovil's current ownership is to sell the club to Feliciana EFL Ltd, the sole director of which is Robert Couhig, a New Orleans-based attorney, businessman and former mayoral candidate.

Couhig has previously invested in US Soccer team New Orleans Riverboat Gamblers, which was renamed New Orleans Storm before folding in 1999, as well as previously owning minor-league baseball team New Orleans Zephyrs.

A statement from the club read: "Yeovil Town Football Club wishes to issue an update on the status of a proposed takeover, which was reported last month.

"An agreement has been reached between the club’s current ownership and Feliciana EFL Limited, headed by Rob Couhig, subject to EFL approval.

"The YTFC Board is pleased to be advancing and both parties anticipate completion within the next month."
