It looks like more episodes of "Council of Dads" could be coming to Savannah to film in the near future.

Deadline reports NBC has ordered a full season of "Council of Dads" with the hopes the series can be a companion piece to "This is Us." The show, which filmed its pilot in Savannah, is inspired by Savannah native Bruce Feiler's best-selling memoir and stars Sarah Wayne Callies, Clive Standen, Tom Everett Scott and J. August Richards.

Here is the full show synopsis:

When Scott, a loving father of four, has his entire life’s plan thrown into upheaval by a cancer diagnosis, he calls on a few of his closest allies to step in as back-up dads for every stage of his growing family’s life. Scott assembles a trusted group of role models that includes Anthony, his oldest friend; Larry, his AA sponsor; and Oliver, his surgeon and best friend to his wife, Robin. These men agree to devote themselves to supporting and guiding Scott’s amazing family through all the triumphs and challenges life has to offer – just in case he ever can’t be there to do so himself.

The pilot for the show filmed in Savannah earlier this year, but no word yet whether that means Savannah will be the featured location for the rest of the series. According to Deadline, the show's pilot has attracted "serious buzz" for NBC, which led to the pilot being picked up.
