Krispy Krunchy Rollouts Continue
Hopes to open more than 450 new locations by year’s end

LAFAYETTE, La. — Krispy Krunchy Foods, a leader of quick-serve restaurant (QSR) concepts with more than 700 retail locations in 23 states, has opened seven more stores last week, bringing its total to 159 openings for the year. It opened 94 locations in second-quarter 2011, compared with 65 openings in first-quarter 2011.

Dan Shapiro, the company’s executive vice president, said, “We are delighted at the growth we are experiencing this year. We think it’s a validation of the quality of the brand and the great support our customers get from our company.”

Recent new openings include:
Georgetown Truck Stop, Georgetown, Miss.
Delta Mini Mart, Monroe, La.
Southern Convenience, Sunset, La.
Dairy Mart, Louisville, Ky.
Bowling Quick Stop, Manchester, Ky.
Mapco Mo. 3299, White House, Tenn.
Uncle Boomba’s, Oxford, Mich.
The company said that it hopes to open a total of 454 new locations by the end of 2011.

Lafayette, La.-based Krispy Krunchy features Cajun-style chicken fried in zero trans fat oil with pizza, Cajun chicken tenders, jambalaya, Boudin Bites (Cajun rice balls), catfish and honey butter biscuits. Krispy Krunchy offers a completely customized program with no franchisee or royalty fees. It is designed to give operators a professional and branded image with the ability to deliver quality food to their customers at a low price. The branded look includes a full graphics package, layout, design and scale drawings. The program may also be co-branded with another food program and use existing onsite equipment. Krispy Krunchy Foods provides complete training and support programs.
