Every summer, developers of all kinds of solar technologies gather in San Francisco for Intersolar, where they show off their latest gear. On the trade show floor, you will find robots for factory assembly lines, mechanical arms and aluminum racks for propping up solar panels, solar water heaters, and creatively engineered solar panels that don't look quite like the ones commonly found on the rooftops today. For example, some of them are designed not for single-family homes but office buildings and even high rises, where these panels can replace windows as building facades. Here is a collection of some nifty technologies on display at Intersolar this week:
