Letchworth named best New York state attraction

Move over, Times Square and Niagara Falls. Letchworth State Park is the top choice in the USA TODAY 10Best Readers' Choice awards for 2017.

The park which is in Wyoming and Livingston counties was named most often by readers in the annual poll for Best New York State Attraction.

A panel of experts partnered with 10Best editors to picked the initial 20 nominees, and the top 10 winners were determined by popular vote.

Two years ago, 10Best named Letchworth the best state park in the nation, beating out Porcupine Mountains Wilderness State Park in Michigan.
