McKnight’s Long-Term Care News has been named a finalist for the Magazine of the Year category in the annual Annual Society of Business Publication Editors competition.

It joins a list of the nation’s top publications in the large-magazine category. The top winner will be announced at the Azbee national conference in May.

McKnight’s Long-Term Care News also is a national and regional finalist in the category of New/Relaunched Website, alongside its sister publication McKnight’s Senior Living. In addition to the McKnight’s team, Haymarket Vice President of Product Management and Ad Operations Paula Fox was instrumental in the efforts to relaunch the sites. McKnight’s Senior Living is a national finalist for Website of the Year.

“Being on the finalist list for Magazine of the Year and Website of the Year reflects the phenomenal efforts of both McKnight’s teams in 2018,” said McKnight’s Vice President and Editorial Director John O’Connor. “It reflects both how we continue to grow in the digital space and continue to deliver comprehensive print magazines to our readers.”

McKnight’s Long-Term Care News also is a regional finalist for its 2018 coverage of the Patient-Driven Payment Model in the category of Online Single Topic Coverage by a Team, which was collectively the work of Editor James M. Berklan, Rehab Realities columnist Renee Kinder and Staff Writer Kimberly Marselas.

McKnight’s Long-Term Care News also is a regional finalist in the Print-Regular Department category for its Wound Care page. That work is credited to Ask the Treatment Expert Jeri Lundgren and Staff Writer Kimberly Marselas.

McKnight’s Senior Living also is a national and regional finalist for Online – Web News Section and a regional finalist for Print-News section. Regional winners will be announced at the Upper Midwest Azbee ceremony in the spring.
