Seattle Ballpark Beer Vendor Takes Twitter Orders

A beer vendor at the Mariners' Safeco Field in Seattle is turning to Twitter to up his game: all you have to do is send @Msbeervendor a message, and pretty soon you'll have a cold one delivered to your seat. He says the strategy is meant to up his tips because "fans with smartphones...are more likely to have more wealth and therefore have more money to spend." In theory!

Although the service is only available in the lower level of the stadium, we still imagine this will mean an awful lot of running around, which might impede his sales? Anyway, the experiment begins at Friday's home opener, so we'll find out then.
