WHEATON, Ill. – All six members of the Elmhurst men's tennis team contributed to the Bluejays' 5-2 victory over Millikin in the CCIW Tournament.Â

The fourth-seeded Bluejays (7-11) took two of the three doubles matches and three of the four completed singles matches to defeat the Big Blue (15-7). All six Bluejays earned at least one win, while
Quinn Jennings, the reigning CCIW Player of the Week, took home two to lead Elmhurst.

In doubles play, the Bluejays started off strong at the top spot with an 8-5 victory from
Chris Harrison and Jennings. Millikin leveled the match with a tight 9-8(3) win at No. 2, but the
Justin Delawder and
Kyle Endicott earned a key point for the Bluejays at No. 3, giving Elmhurst a 2-1 lead by flipping the regular season result 8-6. During the regular season, Millikin's No. 3 tandem defeated Elmhurst's now No. 2 duo of
Alex Abbuhl and
Ricardo Franco.

Just like in the regular season, Jennings took a quick point for the Bluejays at No. 2 singles, this time winning 6-2, 6-1 over Jacob Hamilton. Abbuhl put Elmhurst on the brink by defeating Connor Sacks 6-4, 6-2 at No. 3.

Millikin flipped the regular season script at No. 6 as Noah Klumpe outlasted Delawder 6-1, 6-3. Franco clinched the match for Elmhurst by pulling out an 8-6 second-set tiebreaker at No. 5, sending the Bluejays to the CCIW semifinals with a 6-3, 7-6(6) victory.

Elmhurst was leading at the remaining two singles spots after taking first-set tiebreakers. At No. 1, Harrison led 7-6(5), 3-0 and at No. 4, Endicott was ahead 7-6(4), 2-0.

The Bluejays take on top-seeded Carthage in the CCIW semifinals tomorrow in Wheaton at 12:00 p.m.
