Brunch, Anyone? Kanela Breakfast Club Opens In Andersonville Thursday

ANDERSONVILLE — Chris Lardakis and Alexi Giannoulias will cut the ribbon on their fifth Kanela Breakfast Club in the city Thursday.

The business partners will celebrate the opening of the Andersonville location in the former Summerdale space at 5413 N. Clark St. Thursday at 2 p.m. with Ald. Harry Osterman (48th) and the Kanela Family, according to a news release for the event.

Kanela, which means cinnamon in Greek, brings "a local, organic approach to a Greek-infused American breakfast and lunch," according to the restaurant's website.  Everything served in the restaurant is cooked from scratch using "local organic ingredients whenever possible" and features cinnamon, the website says.
