WSO2 to Present Webinar Series on Solution Architecture Best Practices

Mountain View, CA – April 27, 2016 – The proliferation of web, cloud, mobile and Internet of Things (IoT) applications is creating new requirements for today’s enterprise architectures. WSO2 will present six webinars designed to help solutions architects address these demands by incorporating modern best practices in enterprise integration, business process management (BPM), security, IoT and analytics.

The solution architecture best practices webinar series will run May 4 – June 15, 2016. To learn more, visit: https://wso2.com/landing/solution-architecture-best-practices-webinar-series-2016.

May 4 – Heterogeneous Enterprise and Cloud Systems

Enterprise ecosystems are constantly evolving and need to connect to a range of internal and external systems. Therefore, an integration solution should be able to support a variety of integration scenarios, as well as develop connections to cloud-based systems quickly and efficiently. The webinar will examine the importance of having a framework that can be quickly plugged into systems and process information available in different message formats. Additionally, it will review the features of the WSO2 integration platform and explore how these capabilities can be used to quickly and efficiently connect both server- and cloud-based solutions.

Webinar presenter Chinthana Wilamuna is a WSO2 solutions architect. The session will be held on Wednesday, May 4, from 9:00 a.m. – 9:30 a.m. PDT. For more information, visit https://wso2.com/library/webinars/2016/05/heterogeneous-enterprise-and-cloud-systems.

May 11 – Through Data, Systems and Enterprise Processes

Business process management is a well-established discipline that helps systems, employees, customers, partners and stakeholders in an enterprise understand, restructure and optimize enterprise activities to achieve rapidly changing business goals. This webinar will explore how to use BPM for enterprise modeling, automation, execution, control, measurement and optimization. Additionally, it will introduce techniques and best practices for ensuring the successful implementation of BPM, including business process discovery, decomposition, ownership and service identification. The session also will review how WSO2’s comprehensive service-oriented architecture (SOA) middleware platform supports a BPM solution architecture.

Thilini Ishaka, WSO2 associate lead solutions engineer, will present this webinar, which is scheduled for Wednesday, May 11, from 9:00 a.m. – 9:30 a.m. PDT. For more information, visit https://wso2.com/library/webinars/2016/05/through-data-systems-and-enterprise-processes.

May 18 – Building Event-Driven Systems

From retail and healthcare to education and finance, enterprises interact and integrate with a multitude of message-driven systems, internally and externally. This webinar will explore how business requirements, such as anonymity, discoverability and reliability, require business-level integration between these systems to be implemented in an event-driven manner. It then will identify common event-driven integration patterns and examine how they can be leveraged to achieve operational goals. Additionally, the session will explain how WSO2 middleware can be used in the implementations.

Shiroshica Kulatilake, WSO2 solutions architect, will present this webinar, which will be held Wednesday, May 18, from 9:00 a.m. – 9:30 a.m. PDT. For more information, visit https://wso2.com/library/webinars/2016/05/building-event-driven-systems.

May 25 – Making Smarter Systems with IoT and Analytics

From traffic flows and electric power to the way our food is grown, processed and delivered, everything around us is increasingly controlled by digitally independent systems. They learn and adapt by themselves without having to follow a structured, predefined execution flow, making them smarter, faster and more reliable.

This webinar will examine how smart systems can be created by analyzing the large volumes of unstructured real-time and historical data produced by IoT devices to uncover hidden patterns, correlations, and other insights. The session then will look at how this information can be fed into machine-learning algorithms to calculate predictions. Next, it will explore how IoT and analytics can be used in combination to compose a smart system using the capabilities of the WSO2 analytics platform and WSO2 IoT Server.

Dassana Wijesekara, WSO2 solutions architect, will present this webinar that is held Wednesday, May 25, from 9:00 a.m. – 9:30 a.m. PDT. For more information, visit https://wso2.com/library/webinars/2016/05/making-smarter-systems-with-iot-and-analytics.

June 1 – Enterprise Security Requirements

Enterprises’ ecosystems continue to expand across partners, suppliers, customers and employees via APIs and across a range of web and mobile, cloud systems. This webinar will discuss the security challenges that organizations face in the wake of these expanded ecosystems. It then will examine how to implement identity and access management systems that can connect and manage multiple identities based on multiple standards. The session also will cover how to:

  • Enable single sign-on (SSO) for heterogeneous systems.
  • Handle different types of enterprise identities.
  • Protect data and APIs.

Webinar presenter Dimuthu Leelarathne is a WSO2 director. The session will be held Wednesday, June 1, from 9:00 a.m. – 9:30 a.m. PDT. For more information visit https://wso2.com/library/webinars/2016/06/enterprise-security-requirements.

June 15 – Analytics in Your Enterprise

A virtual tsunami of data is being collected through the web, cloud, mobile and IoT devices, social networks, and more. The challenge is converting all of this information into actionable insights through analytics, and it is driving a multi-billion-dollar industry with use cases ranging from targeted advertising and fraud detection to product recommendations and market surveys.

This webinar will explore use cases and discuss the different technologies used to support them, such as MapReduce for batch analytics, complex event processing (CEP) for real-time analytics, and machine learning for predictive analytics. Additionally, it will examine how the WSO2 analytics platform can be applied to many types of analysis, ranging from basic statistics to complicated prediction models.

Dakshitha Ratnayake, WSO2 lead solutions engineer, will present this webinar, which will be held Wednesday, June 15, from 9:00 a.m. – 9:30 a.m. PDT. For more information, visit https://wso2.com/library/webinars/2016/06/analytics-in-your-enterprise.
