3d router

CNC routers are amazing machines that can make intricate and precise cuts at the touch of a button. But there is a learning curve involved with setting up the machine, designing plans, and using the software. For basic cuts, a manual 3D router is the way to go.

This DIY 3D router project is from Paoson Woodworking. It's a bit complex, but he's provided all of the necessary plans, cut list, and templates, on his website. This 3D router moves forward and backward along a track and can be manipulated up and down and side to side. There are stops for each movement that control depth and keep you within the dimensions of your project.

It's possible to create various jigs to be used with your handheld router that can accomplish similar tasks, but this 3D router gracefully does it all with minimal effort.

It's powered by a corded drill or Dremel tool that is locked in place pointing down. These tools can be easily switched out depending on your needs. The variety of attachments are endless, and the machine can also serve as a drill press and sander. Undoubtedly, once you build this 3D router you'll find even more uses for it than you ever imagined.
