Public Lectures
Each year, in honor of National Law Day, a group of professionals who have in-depth knowledge of a practical legal topic give a free presentation at the New York City Bar. The presentation is designed to help you learn about important legal issues that may affect your daily life. The lecture is followed by a question and answer session. After the presentation, free 30-minute consultations with volunteer lawyers are also available. Consultations may be scheduled in advance by calling the New York City Bar Legal Referral Service (212-626-7373); otherwise consultations happen on a first-come, first-served basis.
