Tired of Looking Tired? Discover Blepharoplasty.

Do you look exhausted, even after a good night’s rest? If tired eyes have become your new normal, you may need a little help to wake up your appearance. Ask us about blepharoplasty.

What Is Blepharoplasty?

Blepharoplasty—also known as eyelid surgery—is a surgical procedure that corrects drooping upper eyelids and puffy bags under the eyes. This is accomplished by removing excess skin, muscle, and fat in the area. This procedure isn’t just cosmetic; some patients find that blepharoplasty restores vision that has been blocked or reduced by hanging eyelid skin. Blepharoplasty doesn’t change the size or expression of your eyes, but it can help you to look younger, more rested, and rejuvenated. If the eyes are the windows to the soul, do you really want them covered with excess skin?

What Can Blepharoplasty Do for Me?

Blepharoplasty can provide dramatic change to the appearance of the eye area and eyelids. It can:

  • Correct drooping upper eyelids.
  • Correct puffy under eye bags.
  • Rejuvenate the eye area.
  • Help patients look younger and more refreshed.

This procedure is typically performed on patients in their 40s or beyond, but can be performed earlier. For some people, puffy under eye bags or droopy eyelids run in the family. Blepharoplasty results are lasting. Some patients may require an additional surgery to correct drooping that develops after surgery. This typically occurs many years after your initial surgery.

Customized to Your Problem Areas

Blepharoplasty is customized to your unique needs. During your consultation, Dr. Tehrani will examine your eye area and create a customized treatment plan. He may recommend surgery on just the upper eyelids, just the lower eyelids, or both. He’ll discuss your hopes and goals for the procedure and select the best surgical techniques to achieve the best possible aesthetic result.

Some patients will need to coordinate their care with an eye doctor or their private medical doctor. This helps Dr. Tehrani to ensure that you’re a good candidate for the surgery. Call and schedule your consultation today!
