Light showers in Bhuj

BHUJ: People in Bhuj and its surrounding areas were taken by surprise following sudden change in the weather. Around 5.30 in the evening sudden spell of light showers accompanied with thunder and lightning lasting for few minutes lashed Bhuj and its surrounding areas.
At some places small stone size ice balls also accompanied the sudden showers. According to information available lightning struck near Bhujodi village and as many as seven transformers have been burnt affecting the power and water supply of Madhapar village.
Meanwhile, IMD director Kamaljit said that due to some local disturbances the sudden change in weather had occurred.
