Steamworld Heist Ultimate Edition Dev Talks About Extra Content And Touch Screen Support

We learned today that Steamworld Heist Ultimate Edition is heading to the Nintendo Switch on December 28th. Thanks to Miketendo reaching out to the developer, Brjánn Sigurgeirsson from Image and Form, we now know a little more about what content we can expect along with more info about the controllers we will get to use along with confirmation that touch controls are present in this edition.

Brjánn Sigurgeirsson: “The Switch version of SteamWorld Heist really IS the Ultimate Edition – in more ways than one! The package contains every little extra add-on we’ve ever made for the game, and it’s playable any way you want. You can play it with the Pro Controller in front of your TV or use the Joy-Cons when you’re on the go. But for that extra hat-shot precision you can also use the touch screen.”

  • All previously released DLC, including The Outsider expansion (extra missions, gear and an additional ally familiar to SWD2 fans) as well as the two hat boxes(Three 4 Free and Hatful Eight + 2). The way it was meant to be played!
  • Optional touch controls for precise aiming. The entire game can be played using only the touch screen in handheld and tabletop mode. It’s really intuitive!
  • A beautiful home menu icon. No #icongate this time around ;)… and more!
