Nigeria: I Have Never Failed in My Promises - Jonathan

Kaduna — President Goodluck Jonathan yesterday boasted that he has never failed to redeem all the promises he has made since he became Nigeria's president five months ago, just as he rolled out several projects he would embark upon.

Commenting on his Facebook page, Jonathan said, "Little drops of water, it is said, make a mighty ocean. I believe this. We are making progress with the new super grid to transmit power throughout Nigeria while also moving full steam ahead in building new power plants and maintaining the old ones. However, we still have to think nationally and act locally and make sure that where there is opportunity we make use of it to give power to Nigerians by whatever means we can. This is why I have committed the Federal Government to develop coal-powered and solar turbines to generate power for the Nsukka campus of the University of Nigeria and its environs.
