The Concordia Graduate Student Association in Translation is pleased to announce its 10th annual Graduate Student conference. This year’s theme is “Translation at the Crossroads,” which will highlight the study of translation as an interdiscipline.

The 10th annual conference will consider the many ways in which Translation Studies is informed by other disciplines, with a focus on the intersection between gender and translation. Together, the fields of Gender and Translation Studies have explored uncharted academic territory related to the shifting nature of language, meaning, and identity over time and across cultures.

This year’s guest speaker is Luise von Flotow, whose new collection Translating Women highlights the many unexplored ways in which feminist theory can be applied to translation. Students are invited to share research relating to gender and translation, as well as work investigating the ways in which Translation Studies is an interdisciplinary field.

Submissions may be in either French or English and should include an abstract of approximately 200-250 words. Please submit your proposal electronically to the following address:
