Apple iPad Pro has a problem where the screen becomes unresponsive and goes black, according to user reports on the company’s official community threads. A Re/Code report points out that Apple has acknowledged the problem and even put out a set of instructions for users.
Apple’s statement notes, “To get back to using your iPad Pro, force restart it by pressing and holding both the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons for at least ten seconds, until you see the Apple logo. Apple is aware of this issue and is investigating.”
For now, the comment thread has over 400 comments with several users reporting the same issue. According to one user, he had left the iPad for overnight charging but when he woke up, the device was ‘dead’; he had to do a reboot to get the device working. The user notes that the issue kept reoccurring.

Some users note that the issue appears when the iPad Pro is left on the charger for more than an hour. Apple has not confirmed whether this is a software or hardware glitch.
The Apple iPad Pro went on sale on November 11. The iPad Pro starts at $799 but costs more than $1,000 if buyers also want a keyboard and an optional stylus.
The tablet is available in more than 40 countries including the United States, the UK, China and Japan but not India.
