Veterinarians International is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that sends vets to global health projects to help communities in need. We're looking for a volunteer social media manager to work together with our communications team to get posts up primarily on Twitter. Our communications team is currently crafting and posting content for Facebook and Instagram and needs help keeping our Twitter account active. We would also love to optimize our current social media platforms with your help.

WHO WE ARE ...

Veterinarians International was founded by innovative North American veterinarians who are passionate about supporting animals and communities in need around the world. Sixty percent of all human disease comes from animals, so our goal is to create healthier communities and ecosystems for people and animals. Our main avenue of outreach will be our website, www.vetsinternational.org, and social media channels, where we will provide thought-provoking, compelling information while attracting support. Our initial projects include providing vet care at an elephant sanctuary in Thailand ( www.blesele.org) and to communities in Guatemala and Chile through our local partner organization on the ground, The Global Alliance for Animals and People ( www.thegaap.org).

WHO YOU ARE ...

You are an adept and curious social media whiz with a love of animals and an interest in environmental health and global communities. You know how to find and recognize relevant news and trends, and how to promote an organization's projects and mission.

While we'll work with you closely, we're also looking for your unique perspective. You are up for an ongoing commitment. You're looking to put your skills to good use for a cause you're passionate about: helping animals and the communities who care for them.
