  1. My mother hails from a Sikh family of Faisalabad, Pakistan. I was supposed to be named Inquilaab initially as I was born in the year when the Quit India Movement had started, but later on the insistence of my father’s close friend, I was named as what I’m known today. My father initially had the surname “Shrivastava” but changed it for a penname which in colloquial Hindi meant Childlike.
