You’ll find high-quality care in attractive surroundings , including respite care and dementia care at our care homes in Stoke-on-Trent and Newcastle-Under-Lyme.

In all three of our care homes our main aim is to create a home-from-home where residents receive person-centred, high-quality care, tailored to their individual needs. We believe that each and every one of our residents has the right to live a fulfilling, comfortable and sociable life.

We achieve this by constantly reviewing our care service and by investing in continued training and development for our care staff [link]. At the heart of all of our work is the desire to constantly keep our residents’ welfare and happiness at the forefront of our minds.

Each of our homes has excellent facilities, and their own individual character. It’s the people in each location that have made the homes so special, with our residents creating their own bonds and community and our staff bringing energy, enthusiasm and all the support that is needed.

In each of our care homes we offer respite care, dementia care, palliative care and long-term residential care.

When people have worked hard and supported others throughout their lives we believe they deserve the very best care, kindness and compassion. They need a home where individuality is emphasised, with staff that have time to give attention to the small details, and where they have the choice of enjoying the company of like-minded fellow residents.

Anita started off as a care assistant in care, in a care home at an early age, and later on providing 1:1 care for individuals in the community with acute health conditions. With over 17 years of varied care experience working in care homes and community settings, Anita has plenty of experience in providing palliative (end of life) care and dementia care.

The majority of Anita’s care experience is from care homes and has been a home grown success story within our organisation, starting to work for the Safe Harbor group in March 2015 as a trainee Senior Carer and has progressed within our organisation through her hard work and dedication. Anita’s internal progression included her achieving a CQC Registered Managers’ position in December 2017 then moved to manage Agnes and Arthur in December 2018 where she remained until she became our group Compliance Manager in November 2022.

Whilst working at Agnes and Arthur care home, Anita has trained to level 5 in Health and Social care and management, and has developed many skills along the way with this learning and experience.

Anita has a real passion and a wealth of experience around compliance, Anita's future focus is to continue with these many improvements she has implemented in Agnes and Arthur, and share these across the group as a whole. Anita is a great mentor for all the staff teams and is supporting us with standardising our systems.

Anita aims to move the group to outstanding with the compassionate care that is already being delivered.
