Jack White clarifies Foo Fighters comments

During his concert in Boston last night, Jack White delivered what he himself deemed to be a “Kanye West-esque rant” and appeared to take a swipe at Foo Fighters for using two guitar players to cover up mistakes. He also lambasted Rolling Stone magazine for “its click-baiting” headlines.

Early this afternoon, Foo Fighters playfully responded to White’s comments by tweeting a photo of a monkey playing guitar along with the caption, “Busted….behold, the secret of the Foo Fighters sound….”

However, both rockers have now made it a point to address the matter and assure us “dream-makers of the media” that a feud between the two rock titans is nothing more than a figment of our imagination. (Note: White and Foo Fighters share the same publicist.)

    Here’s the full statement:

    Dear dream-makers of the media….

Last night Jack White made a joke on stage!

There was a minor equipment mishap, specifically with his guitar, and in an effort to keep his audience engaged, he made a joke! It was meant to be funny and self deprecating: “hey sorry, you’re stuck with just me up here…” vs the Foo Fighters who have three guitar players on stage and regularly play stadium shows.

Jack has the upmost respect for the Foo Fighters and communicated with Grohl this morning.

So if you’ll let us, we’ll all continue with our day and we assure you: All is well in the rock n roll world.
