Jet Airways Joins Fare War, Tickets from Rs 1,499

Jet Airways has announced a special offer available on booking from August 1 to August 4, 2014. This offer is valid for domestic travel from September 1, 2014, and fares under this scheme start from Rs 1499, all-inclusive.

This offer is applicable for travel only on direct flights on the Jet's domestic network.

Jet said the economy class passengers travelling on its domestic network (of both Jet Airways and its low-cost arm Jet Konnect) will be able to book tickets starting at Rs 1,499 inclusive of all taxes. The airline had last week had announced discounted sales on its international routes along with its foreign partner Etihad.

Meanwhile rival SpiceJet has also come up with a discount offer that also runs from August 1 to August 3. This is valid for travel between September 1 and December 15 and fares start from Rs 2099, all-inclusive.

"We are back with yet another super sale offer with fares starting at Rs 2,099 all-inclusive across all our domestic network. Bookings will remain open from August 1-3 and valid from September 1 to December 15," SpiceJet said.

SpiceJet started the fare-war in January with up to 50 per cent discounted fares which was followed up all other airlines including the national carrier Air India. Since then SpiceJet has launched nearly a dozen discount sales. (With Agency Inputs)
