Autumn is the perfect time to get your gardening affairs in order. Check out our guide below to find out what jobs you should get done this autumn!
Clean Up
During Autumn, you’ll notice more and more leaves will be falling from your trees. It’s always good practice to keep these leaves maintained so that your grass does not become brown. Falling leaves can also attract slugs that can make short work of your newly planted garden.
Plant Bulbs
Autumn is the perfect time to plant spring blooming bulbs as there is enough time for them to grow before Spring. The ideal planting spot for a bulb is in direct sunlight.
Pruning

Mulch
Your garden will thank you if you mulch this season. This protective layer will help keep your soil from drying out and it will also help kill any weeds around your garden bed. Make sure you leave a little breathing room around your plants.
Fertilise
Now is the best time to fertilise your lawn. Give it a kickstarter to help it stay green during the winter. Ideally, you should only fertilise your lawn twice a year.
