We are in dire need of help in combatting the forces of huge multinational corporations bent on ruining our air, water, and pristine lands. We here in Mora county New Mexico have enacted an ordinance banning fracking(sic)fracturing of the earth in order to extract hydrocarbons. This ordinance-the first county in the nation to do so-is predicated on our inalienable, God given right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness as set forth in the Declaration of Independence. Indeed, that is why we will protect our land and our way of life which is being threatened by insatiable corporate greed. People please be aware that we are but a lowly amoeba struggling against the proverbial, behemoth Goliath.
