Reducing Congestion and Funding Transportation Using Road Pricing in Europe and Singapore
The U.S. Federal Highway Administration’s International Programs Office has released a report that explores new ideas and practical, workable models for integrating road pricing approaches into state, local, and regional policies, programs, and practices. The report is based on the findings of an international scan of Sweden, the United Kingdom, Singapore, Germany, the Czech Republic, and the Netherlands in December 2009.
The scan program is sponsored by the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials, the U.S. Federal Highway Administration, and the National Cooperative Highway Research Program. The full report is expected to be released in the next few months.
