DIGITAL DAILY: Mr Porter is amping up its digital content by adding The Daily, an extension to its weekly digital editorial, The Journal.
Found on The Journal landing page, The Daily will feature news and features on fashion, grooming and culture, along with advice. Content could include denim jacket tips, how to dress like The Rolling Stones and a pasta sauce recipe.
The company named Adam Welch editor to oversee the Daily content, effective immediately. Welch was promoted from his role as deputy editor at The Journal and Mr Porter Post, a bimonthly newspaper. He reports to Jeremy Langmead, brand and content director. Welch will work with Andrew Barker, Mr Porter’s new editorial director of The Journal and Post.
“We’ll be a bit more nimble and intuitive to what our reader may need, whether an informative stance on men’s style, a bit of inspiration in how he might want to be dressing that week, to straightforward news stories about what’s going on in the world around him,” Welch said.
