This week's episode of The People vs. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story centered on the crazy freeway chase O.J. and his friend Al "A.C." Cowlings led the LAPD on and had the world watching; consequently there was little time for the Kardashians, save mopeface Rob Schwimmer as Robert, to make their mark — no Kris scenes at all! But still, the family persevere because when do they not, really?!

ROBERT KARDASHIAN

Robert's range of facial expressions — sadness, shock, surreptitious fart — is put to good use this week. He's very sad that O.J. disappeared, and also very sad, teary even, that O.J. left that suicide note, portions of which he reads to fellow lawyer Robert Shapiro (the divinely waxy John Travolta).

Shapiro later makes him reread what appear to be non-suicidal excerpts from that note during a press conference that is called to try and get O.J. to turn himself in. When he's done, the press in attendance are all like, "New phone who dis?" and then butcher the pronunciation of Robert's last name — "Kazany" and "Karkashian" are their best guesses, which, "Kazany," come on?! — after he introduces himself. (This leads to a good moment with the Kardashian kids, see below.)

Robert later visits O.J.'s family to tell them that, based upon the suicide note, he thinks O.J. has killed himself. He's crying; everyone is crying, except then the TV changes to footage of O.J.'s car chase and everyone feels a little better again even if Robert is still moping. He is also wearing a disconcertingly chipper floral tie given the circumstances.

He then calls O.J. a few times to try and talk him down (even while O.J. basically dictates another suicide note over the phone at one point), and the serious acting is only marred by the lack of any worry lines to match the pained eyes. To be fair, his most pensive scene comes as he actually saves O.J. from (potentially) being shot by police snipers who mistake his framed family photos for a gun, and that is a damn good reason to be constipated/stressed. He then gives O.J. a big hug.

There is also a moment in which he shows some admirable biceps.

KOURTNEY, KIM, KHLOÉ, AND ROB KARDASHIAN

Just the one cute lil scene with the Kardashian kids, as their afternoon's TV watching is interrupted by their dad's press conference. "OMG, it's Daddy," Kim shouts, and they're all very excited and turn the volume up even though they're sitting close to the TV and it was perfectly audible already?

After the reporters fail to understand their last name, Kim spells it out for them/the world, and then the siblings do this wonderful little cheer dance where they're also clapping. I hope this is a tradition that continues today on family get-togethers.
