Strongsville financial planning firm is helping families in need this holiday season: Strong Points

The Commons in Strongsville features a Winter Wonderland and thousands of lights.

STRONGSVILLE, Ohio - For the fourth year in a row, Fidato Wealth announced their involvement with the "Adopt-a-Family for Christmas" program, joining with clients and friends to collect gifts for a local family this holiday season. As in past years, there were more families seeking help for the holiday program than the organization had support, which means not all families who applied were adopted. In addition to inviting the community at large to participate in Fidato Wealth's gift-and-supplies drive for one deserving family, the company urged individuals and families who are financially able to take another step forward and adopt a family of their own.

"Our first mission is to make a positive difference in our client's lives by helping them achieve their financial goals and aspirations. Additionally, we seek to make a positive difference in our community whenever possible," says Tony D'Amico, CFP(r), CEO and Senior Wealth Advisor at Fidato Wealth. "This year, we have once again teamed up with The Adopt-A-Family Association of Parma to collect items in an effort to provide a local family with a very special holiday season."

This year Fidato Wealth adopted a family with a single mother with three young children, ages eight, four and two. "The mom is working full time, but having a hard time making ends meet and just needs a little help to make this a very special Christmas for her children," says D'Amico. "We invited the entire Northeast Ohio community to join in with our clients in donating gifts and essential supplies to be delivered to this and other deserving families in need this Christmas season."

The Adopt-a-Family Association was created to provide not only holiday support to low income, unemployed families and those who are disabled in Cuyahoga County, but also as a short-term safety net and caring support to Greater Cleveland/Parma area families in crisis who are working to maintain a stable home environment for their children as they overcome traumatic socioeconomic circumstances.

"In 2016, with the partnership of local businesses, the Adopt-a-Family Association was able to help over 300 local families in Cuyahoga and surrounding counties along with families outside of the state of Ohio, including nearly 1000 children, by providing a meaningful holiday experience," says Madeline Medley, Executive Director/Founder of Adopt-a-Family Association.

This year clients of Fidato Wealth dropped off 25 packages and donated $400 in gift cards. "We are touched by our clients generosity and continued interest in this program from year to year. It's nice to see our clients as they stop in to drop off their items and we can tell how important this is to them," says Amy D'Amico, President and Senior Wealth Advisor at Fidato Wealth.
