Submission Guidelines

We are currently open to historical fiction novels with or without romantic elements. We are especially interested in stories based on real-life events as well as those that involve little-known historical characters or events. These books can be set in any time period before 1960. Middle-grade, Young Adult, New Adult, and Adult titles are welcome, but all must adhere to our Family-Friendly Guidelines.

Authors, please note we do not take manuscript pitches via telephone or regular mail, and we regret we cannot answer any questions related to publishing, editing, or finding an agent.

At present, we are accepting agented and unagented submissions for historical novels and our romances with mature heroes and heroines. We are closed to all other submissions at this time.

Please note that we only work with established agents that adhere to the Association of Authors' Representatives Canon of Ethics. If you charge your clients a reading fee or any fees up front, we will be unable to consider your client's work.

To submit your work (or your client's work) after reading the appropriate genre guidelines, to Vinspire Publishing, please send a detailed query in the body of an email which should include the following:

  • a brief biography which details your publishing credits, if any, your social networks and credentials that establish you as an author invested in your career, i.e., a member of writing communities, reading groups, and any writing-related awards or recognitions;

  • at least two paragraphs, but no more than three paragraphs, about the book;

  • at least a two-page synopsis detailing the beginning, middle, and ending of the book;

  • the word count, whether or not the book is part of a series, and the sub-genre of the book.

Please also attach a 2-3 page synopsis which details the beginning, middle, and ending of the book, and please make sure you have read and agreed to our family-friendly statement

Please allow 6-8 weeks for a response before sending a follow-up email.
