Fundraising Reception in Support of CA State Controller Betty Yee

Please join Harborside Health Center and Arcview for a fundraising reception in support of California State Controller Betty Yee on Saturday, June 18th, from 12:00 - 2:00 pm.

Betty Yee was one of the first California State Constitutional elected officials to support and advocate for the cannabis industry. She sponsored legislation to provide amnesty for unpaid taxes, created Board of Equalization (BOE) guidelines for the application of taxes, resolved issues of cash payments to BOE, wrote an op-ed criticizing the crack down on legal dispensaries, worked to educate the DOJ and Department of Treasury about economic and public safety issuers related to shutting down MCDs, has been a leader on working with Feds on banking reform, appeared in Weed Wars with activists demanding that dispensary customers be considered patients and helped dispensaries resolve past tax liabilities.
