Jaw Dropper of the Week: Secluded Chadds Ford Farm Flaunts Un-Be-Liev-able Kitchen

We have one word to describe this entire property: Wow.

Hickory Hill Farm is a pristine 32-acre property nestled in Chadds Ford, Pennsylvania. Though it may look like it could date back to the days of William Penn, the homestead is actually a recreation of a classic farmhouse built in the 1960’s (a pretty damn convincing one at that).

Two years ago, the property underwent a dramatic renovation by Bancroft Construction to modernize the home and add some killer features, including geothermal heating and cool. That’s all good, especially when you throw in the fact that this place sports a tennis court, in-ground pool, pond stocked with fish and an “authentic log cabin workshop,” but we’re really here for the kitchen.

Hey, it’s the holiday season and that’s where all the magic happens this time of year.

Take a second and just look at it. It’s glorious, right? Sun-drenched and spotless, the expansive kitchen is clad in tall windows and further accented by vaulted ceiling with a massive pointed skylight at its apex. We’ve never seen another like it, and imagine that this space can handle plenty of fine farm-fresh meals. Better still, those French doors you see to the left of the above image lead to a sunny porch and then out onto the stone patio with outdoor kitchen.

The home also features two gigantic fireplaces, wide-plank wood floors and a privately-accessed nanny-suite.

Outside, the pristine ground are a mix of meadows, gardens and forest lands. There is a heated kennel and separate stables in the bank barn. With 32 or so acres, you’ll have plenty of space to hunt, fish, ride or simply wander.
