Heineken Inspire Encore Series NYC Recap!

What a night! When I finally arrived at the Heineken Inspire Encore Event, practically on the waterfront at Pier 36, the crowd was already vibing to Pete Rock‘s set and everyone was having a blast. The space was huge, Heineken again, of course with the help of Team Epiphany, went far and beyond to showcase the line-up for the evening.

Up first, my girl Roxy put on a show (in the midst of her own tour), Diplo and Pete Rock did their thing and rocked the crowd. Turns out the special guest (not Kanye) was J. Cole – I missed this performance, but heard it was good. Cee Lo in his fresh white suit dazzled the crowd with his tunes, including one of my fav’s “Fuck You,” while Amber Rose and Omarion were seen to the side of the stage sippin on their Heineken’s and dancing to his songs.

After Cee Lo’s performance, I decided to take the time to stroll around the venue with my girl Ness and snap some photos of the beautiful people AND get my hands on some Jamaican beef patties… FREE!

I ran into more friends including the wonderful Ms. Vashtie, my boy Hyun, Suzy met a bunch of the Team Epiphany crew (I’m VERY grateful for all of their hospitality), as well as some blog readers =)

There was an art wall displaying collaborations with local NYC brands like Hot Air Brand, Dee and Ricky, and GoodWood. There was also a recording booth for singers and lyricists alike to listen to beats, write down their songs, and record them in one sitting!

Nas finally came on and the crowd just shut down and partied with him as he commanded the stage with a pretty youthful, energetic band (felt kinda weird with that combo though, but whatevs, they still killed it!). My camera was NOT cooperating… well, it WAS, but Nas kept on moving… and boy… did he mooove =P

At one point Nas jumped into the crowd and danced with his fans… until security pulled him back up and the concert was a wrap LOL.

I had a pretty awesome time dancing with friends and eating beef patties HEHEHEHE and to top it all Nas. He’s still HOT.
