UPDATE Dec. 14, 11:34 EST: The Paris schoolteacher who claimed to have been attacked by an ISIL supporter now says it was a lie, according to new reports by Le Monde and Le Parisien. Paris anti-terrorism investigators told Le Monde this afternoon that the teacher admitted having “made everything up” (French).
French paper Le Parisien reported this morning (Dec. 14) that an assailant entered the classroom of a school in the Aubervilliers suburb of Paris shortly after 7am local time, and stabbed a schoolteacher in the throat and abdomen with a sharp object. According to initial reports, the assailant told the teacher, “It’s for ISIL, it is only a warning, it is just the beginning.”
The schoolteacher was hospitalized with non-threatening injuries.
The schoolteacher worked at a kindergarten in the Paris suburb of Aubervilliers. The French minister of education, Najat Belkacem, called it an “act of great seriousness” (link in French.) The minister announced that school would be closed on Monday, but class will resume tomorrow.

France is still under an extended state of emergency following the Nov. 13 terror attacks in Paris. Le Monde reported that an anti-terrorism investigation had been opened (link in French) into the Aubervilliers incident.
