Seattle's Hollow Earth Radio is seeking to raise money through an Indiegogo campaign to help the Central District internet station make the transition to low-power terrestrial radio on 100.3 FM, where it will be known as KHUH. The goals is to generate at least $25,000; there are 52 days to go in the campaign. Funds will go toward obtaining a transmitter and antenna and various administrative fees required to file with the FCC. The non-profit, volunteer-run HER airs some of the most adventurous and idiosyncratic content on the internet, including the cosmic music-oriented Edge of the Ape Oven, the jazz-intensive program Black Roots Radio, New Zealand-centric music show OC/DC, and the post-punk bonanza of The Secret Meaning of Things. Besides its eclectic radio output, HER also serves as an all-ages venue for challenging live music. In 2014, HER co-founders Amber Kai Morgan and Garrett Kelly were nominees for the Stranger Music Genius award.
