Guinness Ghana Breweries Limited (GGBL), Ghana's leading total beverage business and a subsidiary of Diageo Plc, has been adjudged the best business in the country's beverage sector by the Association of Ghana Industries (AGI).

GGBL was recognized for its resilience in the face of challenges to provide quality products and create employment opportunities for over 700 Ghanaians.

It has promoted skills development, technology transfer and sustainable community investment.

Rita Agyeiwaa Rockson, Acting Corporate Relations Director of GGBL said, 'being recognized for our business excellence is what makes Guinness Ghana an iconic business and it is rewarding to be recognized at the Ghana industry awards.

'We remain committed to providing our consumers with great innovations such as Orijin, Star Lite and multiple award-winning Ruut Beer, Ghana's first cassava beer.

She said the company will continue to positively impact the communities in which it operates through its community investment.

GGBL has made significant strides to become the best performing, most trusted and respected consumer products company in Ghana.

It has been adjudged the 2014 overall best company in Ghana - Ghana Industry Awards; 2014 best beverage business in Ghana - Ghana Industry Awards and best performing market in the Diageo Africa Regional Market.

The Ghana Industry Awards was instituted to recognize companies that achieve outstanding success in various areas of industry.
