Juventus director Giuseppe Marotta has expressed his delight that the club have already achieved two of their aims for the season after their Champions League qualification on Wednesday evening.
The Bianconeri defeated Manchester City to reach the knockout phase though they will need to avoid defeat against Sevilla in the last game to ensure top spot in Group D.
“This is about the team, and about Allegri,” Marotta explained to Premium Sport after the victory, “we had two objectives; to win the Super Cup and qualify for the knockout stages.”
“We did it. Also, our journey through the Champions League looks excellent.”
He went on to speak about Juventus’ transfer policy, whilst lauding one of the club’s new signings.
“Our purchases were young, and will be again in future,” he noted.
“Dybala is an immense talent and will continue to improve. We were aware of the risks in our policy, but we considered it and weighed up our choices.”
