Charles Krauthammer said on Tuesday Ben Carson “clearly doesn’t know anything about foreign policy, which can be a liability if you are running for the presidency.”

Appearing on Fox News’ “Special Report with Bret Baier,” Krauthammer explained that [crscore]Ted Cruz[/crscore] is the beneficiary of Carson’s fall in Iowa because Cruz “has the support among evangelicals and he knows what is going on in the world and he can speak really well.”

According to the latest Quinnipiac University poll, Trump is polling at 25 percent and Ted Cruz has 23 percent. While Carson has fallen from 28 percent to 18 percent. (RELATED:‘The Spotlight Turns To Sen. Ted Cruz’ As New Poll Shows Iowa Surge)

Krauthammer suggested that in Iowa, the two candidates to watch are Cruz and [crscore]Marco Rubio[/crscore].

“Cruz has made his move,” Krauthammer said. “It’s obvious that much of that is the result of the fall of Carson.”

“Carson is now hurt with the renewed interest after Paris because he clearly doesn’t know anything about foreign policy, which can be a liability if you are running for the presidency,” insisted Krauthammer. (RELATED: Carson Advisers Trash Their Own Candidate In New York Times Interview)

“So as a result of that, [Carson] is slipping badly,” Krauthammer said. “About half of his support went to Trump. Carson had been in the lead in Iowa… and a lot of it now is going to Cruz.”

Cruz “has the support among evangelicals, and he knows what is going on in the world, and he can speak really well. So I think he is the one that is the initial beneficiary of the Paris events and the fall of Carson. We’ll see how Rubio does,” Krauthammer said.
