Iranian Commander: US No Longer Capable of Confronting Muslim Countries
by David Daoud
The commander of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps said on Wednesday that the United States was no longer in a position to confront Muslim countries, the Iranian Tasnim News Agency reported.
Addressing a gathering in the southwestern Iranian city of Ahvaz, Major General Mohammad Ali Jafari said it was a known fact that the US lacks the power to do so.
Jafari added that the fate of the world and the future of Islam would be determined by the outcome of the conflicts currently raging in the Middle East. His comments echoed claims made by Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei last year that Washington was unable to achieve its regional goals, including “plans for the Judaization of Palestine,” and its aims for Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan and the rest of the Muslim world.
