Face The Music offers up industry advice from triple J heavyweights

Melbourne music industry conference Face The Music is hosting a workshop that will examine the power and role that national broadcasting has on the industry, “from an artist’s first upload to triple j Unearthed through to play across the triple j Unearthed, triple j, Double J and ABC Local Radio networks”.

As 2015 marks the 40th anniversary of triple J, Face The Music has enlisted the participation of key decision-makers from their networks, including Dave Ruby Howe (triple J Unearthed), Nicole Cheek (triple J), Dorothy Markek (Double J) and Jacinta Parsons (ABC Local Radio). This panel will discuss the processes that influence support of artists, and the effects that segments such as Like a Version and Live at the Wireless can have.

In addition to this, these panel members will be offering up to twenty artists and their managers the opportunity to have a one-on-one session with them to pitch their music and receive feedback and advice.

Along with this announcement, it has also been noted that Face The Music will be spearheading a music production session, presented by Yamaha and Sternberg, and will feature a panel including M-Phazes (Eminem, Illy), Yeo (Hermitude) and Dub FX. Face The Muisic will be taking place on Friday November 13 and Saturday November 14, with applications for the workshops closing on October 28.
