The goal of this project is to estimate the number of physiotherapists in the world, compare the number of physiotherapists per population, compare the number involved in the profession between nations, define the number of physiotherapists compared to other medical professionals, establish practice trends, define needs of service, and indicate which regions have a greater need for our profession.

This data set will also provide information going forward about education, practice, regulation, interest groups and the number of existing physiotherapists. This data also demonstrates a large variation in the number of physiotherapists when comparing one country to another.
