Watch: ‘Fear the Walking Dead’ Premieres With a Scream in First Three Minutes of Episode 1
“Fear the Walking Dead” takes viewers to the very
beginning of the outbreak in its companion series to “The Walking Dead.”

The highly anticipated AMC horror series recently dropped a
clip showcasing the first few minutes of its premiere, easily slipping into the
unsettling, apprehensive tone we’ve grown so familiar with as a young squatter
wakes in a church to find his girlfriend missing.
Taking cues from Rick’s first shuffle around the hospital in
“The Walking Dead’s” premiere five years ago, the opening three minutes puts
the young man on a search through the chapel to find his companion. He makes his way across the hall when he hears a scream downstairs, and we get a
classic “Walking Dead” reveal.
“Fear the Walking Dead” will air with an extended
90-minute premiere August 23 at 9pm on AMC. Take a look at the opening clip
