STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. -- Police are searching on Tuesday for a suspect in an armed robbery at a deli in Castleton Corners.
No injuries were reported in the gunpoint robbery that occurred on Monday night at the New Manor Deli at 444 Manor Road, according to a spokesman for the NYPD's Deputy Commissioner of Public Information.
Police are searching for a white male suspect who was last seen wearing a white shirt, blue pants and blue backpack.
Emergency radio transmissions indicated that police were canvassing Castleton Corners for the suspect around 10 p.m. on Monday shortly after the robbery happened.
