A 79-year-old driver may have had a medical episode before a car crashed into a house Sunday night, injuring a 12-year-old girl who was sleeping in a bedroom, Metro Police said.

The man, identified by the Clark County Coroner's Office as Arthur Elton Marvin of Las Vegas, was pronounced dead at the scene. The Coroner’s Office will determine the cause of death.

The girl, who was hit by debris from the crash, was taken to University Medical Center with moderate injuries, police said.

The crash was reported about 10 p.m. at the intersection of Wyoming Avenue and Las Vegas Boulevard South.

A 2007 Honda Accord was headed east on Wyoming when it ran through the T intersection with Las Vegas Boulevard, police said. The car crossed a parking lot, went through a block wall and crashed into the house in the 1600 block of Rexford Place, police said.

The crash remains under investigation, police said.

The Associated Press contributed to this report.
