Alexandra Mor Celebrates Her Brand’s Fifth Anniversary

This spring marked two major milestones for haute joaillerie designer Alexandra Mor, who recently celebrated her brand’s 5th anniversary as well as the debut of her collection at Bergdorf Goodman earlier this year. As she enters a new era, the timing was right for Alexandra to expand her bespoke service and offer her exquisite, limited-edition and one-of-a-kind pieces at the iconic retailer, which will unveil a renovated jewelry space later this year as part of a five-year strategy to renovate and update its women’s store.

Alexandra’s newest work, “Color Stories,” a capsule collection for Bergdorf Goodman, will include 16 new pieces created especially for the luxury retailer. The jewelry celebrates femininity with curvy silhouettes and a soft palate of 6 new colors: Coral, Pink, Pearl, Golden-Wheat, Lilac-Aqua, and Green-Mint, combining stones such as Rose Quartz, Moonstones, Coral, Andean Opals, Pink Opals, Baroque Pearls, Aquamarine, and of course Diamonds. Each piece is designed and handcrafted in Alexandra’s New York City studio and features rare, exceptional gemstones juxtaposed with 18K yellow gold and platinum. Her work for Bergdorf Goodman will include the unmistakable details that distinguish the Alexandra Mor collection, including the knife-edged wire and yellow gold interior lining that is incorporated into every piece as a “retrospective to the past.”

Along with Bergdorf Goodman and the bespoke service available via her New York atelier, Alexandra Mor continues to offer her jewelry through Dorfman Jewelers in Boston, where she opened her first dedicated salon last fall. Having undergone a complete redesign and renovation in 2014, the store has been widely recognized as one of the country’s premiere shopping destinations, and Alexandra remains the only designer among Dorfman’s coterie of fine jewelers to have their own signature salon space. Dorfman showcases over 100 of her pieces, featuring items from the “Signature” and “High Jewelry” collections. The store also exclusively features “Vows by Alexandra Mor,” which provides a new and luxurious take on wedding and engagement jewelry. Local collectors also have the opportunity to work with Alexandra to customize an original piece, or reinterpret an heirloom into a gorgeous modern creation.
