Closed...Hip Hooter's Nursing Pads ~ Review and Giveaway

As many of you know, I am a nursing mama of a 3 month old beautiful baby girl.  Of course I am partial, being that she's my daughter.  Hehe!  I've nursed all my children and I made the choice this time to use eco-friendly products to raise my baby such as reusable nursing pads. 

My Organic Breast Pads was nice enough to send me the "Think Green" and "Party in Pink" reuseable nursing pads which they hilariously peg as "Hip Hooter's" for my review.  The nursing pads are made from organic fabrics (outers), a trendy print outer, a pul inner and a super soft printed co-ordinating flannel against the skin.  I was a bit worried that they might be too bulky under tighter shirts but once I washed them a couple times they shaped nicely to the breast. 

My baby girl nurses more during the day and sleeps most of the night causing me to become quite full by morning.  I did not have to worry about leakage at all with these breast pads thanks to the pul inner layer.  At $5.99 per pair or $34 for 6 pairs of your choice, this is a huge savings over the course of breastfeeding a baby.  If you're a breastfeeding organic eco-friendly mama like me, you'll definitely appreciate having Hip Hooter's!

A couple tips for washing these pads:  Do not use fabric softener, this causes moisture to wick away from the fabric and you want the fabric to absorb not wick away.  Do not wring out the water with your hands, this could damage the pul layer and the pads will no longer be leak-free.
