May I be candid? I love, love, love Molly’s work. But, then again, of course I do. Her work lies between the intersection of two of my favorite obsessions: digital media and our built environment.

Now here’s something I think you’ll love about Molly: She’s all about making her art accessible. And she’s not afraid to think big –- really, really big -- when it comes to sharing it.

Like, for example, her ArtWeLove series. Or, more specifically, the original paintings upon which it’s based. Molly painted huge city rooftops, calibrating her work to be viewable (and enjoyable) via Google Earth's satellites.

Molly’s images range from abstract color swipes to a type of large-scale pointillism, where pictures snap into focus only when viewed from high in the air. We’ve seen similar attempts before, and they’ve come across as showy, gimmicky, fleeting. Not this. This work is, well, substantial in all senses of the word.

In her video interview, Molly explains how painting is a spiritual practice for her: How she allows herself to be guided by her breathing. How she imagines herself as a vehicle for paint and process.
