Sometimes you might find that having two Google+ accounts can annoying to keep straight. If you’d rather have a single account, including all of your contacts, you can merge two account together. Here’s how.
Why Would You Merge Google+ Accounts?
Having two accounts is likely if you have a personal Google+ account, and also one for work have a work that uses Google Apps. It’s much easier if you turn them into a single account, something that’s done using the ubiquitous Google Takeout, which we’ve shown you how to use to archive Gmail and Google Calendar data.
You will basically transfer your connections and circles from a source account to a destination one. After the merging process is complete, your connections will only get to see the destination account.
The destination profile will include all of the data, but not the posts in the source profile. If circles have the same, they will be merged. Also, authorship information will remain in the source profile, which will still exist. It will only be replaced by the destination one in other people’s circles.
How To Merge Accounts
To merge two Google+ accounts, make sure you’re logged in then head to this Google Takeout page. Once you’re there, click the Transfer button or link shown in the screenshot below.
You will be taken to the Circles Transfer Tool. Input the Google+ account to which you want to transfer your connections and your circles in the box on the right side, called Destination Account. Then, click Sign in to this account below it.
You will then be told once again what you’re getting yourself into — namely what’s transferred and where, and that you’ll be waiting for 7 days before it all begins. Another important thing is that the process can not be undone and you can’t use the tool for any of the accounts in the next six months.
Once you’ve clicked the Transfer button, all that’s left to do is wait. Do remember, though, that it’s possible to cancel the transfer anytime you want during the 7-day period. To do so, just click the link which appears at the bottom of either Google+ profiles. You will get a confirmation e-mail, too.
If you don’t cancel things, once the transfer is complete, you’ll only need to to manage one account. Remember that the source profile will remain in place. If you don’t want it anymore, you can just delete the Google+ profile – here’s how to do it.

I am able to sign in to my Blogger account but can’t see the blog on my dashboard, I may have 2 Google Accounts and are most likely logged into the wrong one. I tried logging into each email address used to create a Google Account. I also followed the instructions given by http://www.blogger.com/forgot.g and entered the URL of the blog I am trying to gain access to. I was given a hint about which email address is associated with that blog, and then they sent me login instructions to that address.I have tried that but still do not see my blogs on my dashboard. I have posted on google’s feedback but have not received any response. Someone mention about a backdoor in a forum that google can go into and rectify it?
It seems to be a common thing when you tried to add too many accounts to one’s name.
It started when I created a new account, which I now have deleted.
Please help.

Not sure if you noticed but it isn’t possible to merge two accounts. Google Takeout Help section:

Merging Data
Unfortunately, it is not possible to combine two accounts or to merge data.”
So whats up? I suggest that you edit this article.

The article is about Google+ accounts only. The support page you’re quoting talks about moving your data into a Google Apps account, which is completely different.

You Get It? I don’t.
I’ve got two G+ accounts (one associated with a gmail address and one with a yahoo email address). I need to combine / merge them but cannot figure it out. The link in this article leads me to the same page “It isn’t currently possible to merge separate Google Accounts…”
What am I missing? (and thx for your help!)

Once a merge is complete would a user have to log into the “destination” account to check the g+ stuff or would they still have a G+ option on the “Source” account to view the entries in the newly merged account?
Understand I am a gmail account times 2 holder. One for most everyone and one for venders and corporation and such (this would be my ‘Source”
Does the merge function draw all contacts from source and transfer them to destination?

Your source account will still exist, unless you delete it, but it will be replaced with the destination account in other people’s circles.
Yes, all circles will be transferred to the destination account.

Great article, thanks. I originally setup G+ using my regular gmail account. I was able to claim a nice, simple G+ vanity G+ URL (https://plus.google.com/u/0/+JeffWaters)
I also own my own domain @jeffwaters.com and have set that up on a Google Apps account.
At this point, I want to kill off my old gmail account and move everything to my @jeffwaters.com Google Apps account. No good reason to juggle them both.
So, if I go through your procedure to merge the G+ accounts, will I be able to keep my nice +JeffWaters vanity G+ URL?

I successfully merged my two accounts, the first of which was created when a gmail.com account was required. So, question is now that I have the destination acct all full up (including one of its email addresses as the original @gmail.com), if i delete the original google+ account xxx@gmail.com, will that affect the destination account which lists that @gmail.com address as one of its email accounts? Because I don’t want to lose the gmail.com acct because some people still use it for calendars and stuff. thanks so much

My old profile has 40,000+ followers. Can I transfer them to my new profile without losing vanity url? I want to keep +nikphirke username.

I don’t see the option of merging account that is shown in your snap shot. I’m trying to merge a google+ page created with a google account, a google+ page that was created on google maps for the same location, and a google+ work gmail account.

How do I contact Google for help with this? The only thing I see under the Help menu is “Send feedback”.
My business has one primary Google+ page linked to our Gmail account that we have had for years, then recently our other email server switched to Google/Gmail also and now we have a duplicate Google+ page linked to that email. Our customers are finding the latter page because that is our public email address, and I need them to be directed to our primary page. Help!

the link on the orginal article take me to a page to download data from my profile, not sure which one, since I have two and it didnt really specify which I am archiving ????, I’m downloading all my data to Google Drive and will then download it to my hard drive if it is not too ridiculously large.
It seems merging G+ Accounts is no longer an option, or is moved to another page. Oh well, have decided not to merge accounts anyhow, as one is for personal only mail and contacts and the other for everything else incuding mailing lists. lol

Seems this information is now out of date – there is no longer a Transfer button on the Google Takeout page.

I have several Google + accounts for my clients, which I manage through my one Google account. I have one that is VERIFIED through Google and one that is not, that I’d like to merge together. Can I merge from the VERIFIED account to the NON VERIFIED account in order to keep the most desirable vanity url?

I have several google+ accounts, I think one for each domain name / website that I manage. These account were created automatically when I tried to use some or the other Google services.
Now, the problem is; Google thinks there are several people with the same name and hence doesn’t allow me to pick my username / vanity url.
I want to delete these extra profiles but then they get created every time I want to use some Google services.
Any workaround?

I only needed to move my Drive, Gmail, and Contacts into my new account, so after some research I ended up finding g-transfer.com. It sucks that you have to pay, but WAS SUPER EFFICIENT. I don’t think they do blogger, or merge Google + accounts like Takeout, but it’s another great option for people who need to move data from one account to the other like I did.
